Fire. 888 Summit Road. 11:35 a.m. Fire crews responded to a construction site where burning jute had set the yard aflame.
Suspicious. 500 block Anita Street. 12:45 p.m. A resident saw a man pull a gun out of his waistband before getting in a white pickup truck. Police are unable to locate the vehicle.
Rape. Sleepy Hollow at Cleo Street. 5:42 p.m. A man is suspected of sexually assaulting two females, who voluntarily went to his home to hang out.
Vehicle burglary. 600 N. Coast Highway at Pavilions. 11 a.m. A laptop, GPS unit and two bags of clothes cumulatively valued at $1,200 was taken from the vehicle. A rear window was left down at the time of the theft.
Wednesday, Nov. 4
Possible burglary. City Hall. 7:51 a.m. City Treasurer Laura Parisi discovered a window ajar when returning to her office, but concluded the cleaning staff must have left it partially open. Nothing was missing from the office.
Grand theft. 800 block of Wendt Terrace. 10 a.m. Two watches valued at $27,000 were reported stolen from a home while the victims were away.
Construction debris. Ninth and Sunset Avenue. 12:47 p.m. City official Mike Phillips supervised the cleanup of 200 feet of construction debris that had been washed down the street.
Noise complaint. Alta Laguna Park. 6 p.m. A neighbor complained about a bongo drummer in the wilderness area reprising a late night session.
Fraud. 1200 block of Glenneyre Street. 8:30 p.m. A resident reports that a neighbor is hacking into his computer and cell phone.
Thursday, Nov. 5
Warning signs. Goff Beach. 1:56 p.m. Lifeguard posted the beach in response to water testing showing the presence of bacteria.
Friday, Nov. 6
Suspicious. Mission Hospital Laguna Beach. 6:45 p.m. A resident reported scaring off young boys with lighters trying to start a fire in an undeveloped, tree-lined lot behind the hospital.
Defrauding an innkeeper. 800 block of S. Coast Highway. 1:49 p.m. Guests who had paid by cash skipped out on a remaining tab of $1,200.
Vandalism. Agate Street Beach. 1 p.m. A beach-goer reported three local surfers tearing down and damaging trees at the beach spot.
Saturday, Nov. 7
Fraud. Police station. 1:42 p.m. A widow alleges that the buyer of her husband’s medical practice used a phony contract to sell the business to a new owner. Police are investigating.
Medical aid. Thalia Street. 12:20 p.m. Paramedics responded to reports of an intoxicated man cutting his lower leg with a razor. He was transported to MHLB.
Indecent exposure. 1000 Coast Highway. 2 p.m. Two men with their pants around their knees were exposing themselves.
Reckless driving. Coast Highway. 11:48 p.m. A 36-year-old San Clemente woman was arrested for DUI.
Sunday, Nov. 8
Foot patrol. Main Beach. 2:19
m. A 19-year-old from Fremont was arrested for possession of less than an ounce of marijuana.
Traffic stop. 200 block of Thalia Street. 8:47 p.m. Marco A. Velasquez, 25, of San Juan Capistrano, was arrested for suspicion of receiving stolen property and held for $20,000 bail when he was found in possession of a wallet reported stolen last year.
Stolen vehicle. 3 a.m. A 23-yearold woman reported the theft of her car by an inebriated boyfriend, who totaled the vehicle at the 133 and 405 freeways. He fled on foot.
