League Champs! 49-34
Breakers captured their 12th all-time conference title in the 75th varsity season of Laguna football last Friday night. They built a 13-0 lead over the defending champions, Costa Mesa, and then took advantage of their turnovers to hold off challenges and capture the 2009 Orange Coast League title. Full Story
Varsity Teams Qualify for CIF Finals
Laguna’s cross country teams took care of business on Nov. 14 at Mt SAC in Walnut, qualifying for CIF finals and extending their seasons for at least one more week. The boys won their preliminary heat, while the girls finished third in theirs. Full Story
Science Students Advance in Competition
Laguna Beach High School students Nicolai Doreng-Stearns and Samantha Piszkiewicz will advance this weekend to the regional finals in the Siemens Competition, where high school students compete in math, science, and technology for college scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $100,000 in individual and team categories.
