Seuss Rhymes Set to Music
The curtain came up this week on Thurston Middle School’s performance of “Seussical the Musical,” which continues Feb. 5 and 6 at 4 and 7 p.m. at the school’s Black Box Theatre. Leaf Artists Root Briefly for Local Exhibit
The Leaf artist group transplanted their “Time Tablets” exhibit from San Francisco’s RCVA to Laguna Beach’s 225 Forest, the Hurley retail store on Forest Avenue. “Time Tablets,” which opened this past Thursday, Feb. 4, consists of photography, films, prints, and paintings by various artists, including Laguna Beach residents Scott Z Stinnett, Sam E. Bar Hosts Super Bowl Potluck
The Marine Room is reviving one its most popular traditions, hosting a Super Bowl potluck this Sunday, Feb. 7, starting at 3 p.m., 30 minutes before the expected kick-off time.

Don’t Just Admire Seals, Paint Them!
There will be a one-hour painting workshop at the Pacific Marine Mammal Center on Saturday, Feb. 6, which includes a docent-led tour of the center and a close-up view of live seals being nursed back to health.
Following the tour, participants will create an acrylic painting with the help of instructor and tide pool expert Donita Lloyd. Finished art can be taken home. Full Story
