Downed Power Lines Close Canyon
Traffic was congested late Thursday, Feb. 4, on Laguna Canyon Road due to a road closure because of downed power lines caused by a single-car collision, Laguna Beach police said.

A driver, who may have dozed off, strayed off the roadway, toppling a power pole, Sgt. Louis Callus said Friday. Due to the pole and power lines in the roadway near Larry’s Lumber, the road was closed in both directions between 5 and 10 p.m., she said.
The driver was uninjured. The disruption, though, forced long detours for many home-bound residents and those heading for the 12th anniversary of Artwalk.
